In today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about how to structure a group coaching program and in particular how to transition from being a one v one type coach to actually running a group coaching program that is both impactful to your clients and scalable to you as the coach and business owner.

Let’s get into it right now.

Now, this is a story all about how am I. Hey guys, Dino Gomez here and you are listening to the Secrets of Coaching podcast, where we break down the nuances of growing a seven figure online coaching business. And we are about to get started in 3 2 1. All right, how do you structure a group coaching program, I remember this is a question I used to have before I was a part of a group coaching program, and then I ended up joining several different ones and I saw that they were all run differently.

And I was a fan of the way some of them were actually kind of managed, wasn’t a fan of how some of the other ones were managed. And so with all of that, I eventually came to become a coach myself and kind of came up with my own style of coaching. And so when it comes to structuring a group coaching program, here’s the first thing that’s important for you to know.

And I bring this up because I was reminded of this question today because one of our newer members previously before coming to us, she was out of time and she was stressed and she was overwhelmed.

She was working weekends and she had a bunch of clients. So her her issue wasn’t client attraction and her issue hasn’t been sales. Her issue is that she just had a broken business model. And so here she was doing under she was doing about 5000 dollars a month, offering one to one coaching services.

And she couldn’t scale. She was completely out of time. She was basically trading her time for money with her coaching services. And so she came to us. And, you know, we have two different masterminds. We have six figure visionary, four coaches who want to scale to six figures or multiple, six figures.

And we have seven figure visionary four coaches who are already off the ground, you know, hovering in that ten to thirty thousand dollar a month range. And they really want to explode to that seven figure mark.. We have the two different level programs. They are both group coaching programs. They’re both actually hybrid group coaching programs. And I say hybrid because there is one on one coaching elements included. So I figured out that I believe that is the best methodology is to have a combination of the one v one coaching, but also to have it be group coaching calls included.

And so that way people do get the personal one v one touch. But there’s also group coaching calls and the group coaching calls are extremely invaluable. I’ve always felt for a couple of the masterminds that have been a part of I’ve really enjoyed the group coaching atmosphere because not only do we learn from the leader or the mentor, but the opportunity to learn from others in the mastermind is extremely invaluable in developing friendships with them, partnerships with them, where you promote each other, help each other, where your guests on each other’s podcast, teach each other things that are working and not working.

It’s so cool to be friends with entrepreneurs on that level where you’re helping each other out and you understand each other and you speak each other’s language and that happens.

That’s why I love mastermind’s. That’s why I was so excited to build and create and, you know, this dream mastermind that I wish was out there for me type of thing. And so that’s what we built. And and so one of our clients came in. she came to us and, you know, she was super skeptical that because of her niche, she thought it was impossible to deliver a transformational experience in a group coaching setting.

Now, no one, guys, is don’t allow yourself to make an excuse for yourself. A lot of people love to do this. They love to make an excuse of why they are stuck and we all are guilty of it. But it goes like this. I can’t do X, Y, Z. I can’t grow my business because I am in this niche that is not in that other niche. I can’t grow my business because I don’t have a team behind me.

I can’t grow my business because I’m not charismatic. I can’t grow my business because yada yada, yada, yada, yada. We all make up the excuses. You have to get rid of them. This client was awesome. She hopped on a call with us and she was like, I’m stuck. I’m trading time for money. I can’t grow my business. I’m stressed and overwhelmed. I am working too much. But she’s like, I’m worried that I, you know, delivering a group coaching program to my clients that they wouldn’t get the same transformation as a one v one experience.

And it wasn’t until she joined our mastermind that she instantly saw the value of a group coaching program.

And the way we format our calls excuse me, the way we format our calls is that we have all different structures and they change every single week.

Sometimes we hop on a call and we just do hot seats and we allow everybody in the mastermind to contribute ideas to help somebody solve their problems.

Other times it’s a workshop. I teach people something brand new. I teach our clients something that’s really cool and brand new, and I make them take action on the spot. And those are workshops so that people get things done on the calls rather than walk away from the calls and feel like, oh my gosh, I have even more things on my to do. List the workshop, the workshop formula of a group coaching call makes it so people walk away with having gotten something done on the call so that we are literally forcing them to be productive and grow their business.

And then there’s other formats we have for our calls where we will do a live, just a live training, another format is that we will break people up into if you’re familiar with Zoom, breakout rooms. So if we have 20 people, 40 people on a call, we’ll put people into pods, into groups of like three or four individual rooms and give them a topic of discussion. Hey, share with everybody you know, inside of your pod.

What has been the biggest driver in growing your business last quarter?

And everybody takes a turn sharing and then everybody partners or we’ll put people in pods and say, hey, everybody, swap information, dates and schedules on when you’re going to interview each other on your podcast or on your Facebook group.

We help people facilitate connections and stuff. It’s really powerful. But the answer the question I got from this new client today, and she’s rocking it within three days of joining our mastermind, we immediately everybody joins our mastermind gets a one v one call with me instantly and we game plan for 90 minutes what your action items are for the next 60 days. And so we do that right away. We call it a cash injection strategy call. So everybody gets that cash injection strategy call with me.

And that’s where I sit down. I look at all your assets, I look at your business, and I go exactly what you need to focus on and nothing else for the next 90 days. This will make the biggest impact on your business the fastest, so that instantly all of our new members have clarity. So that happens. Read this part of the hybrid coaching. They get that one v one call with me. They have other additional one v one calls with myself or other coaches, depending on what level they’re at.

And then they have the multiple a group coaching calls every single week. So they get to see us in all different formats.

And then every single quarter we have a mastermind retreat, which is a three day virtual weekend where we recalibrate everybody’s business so that they can walk away with a new a new game plan for next 90 days.

So we actually have that retreat coming up here in just a couple of weeks. So our whole coaching staff is preparing for that. We’re going to make that. We always make that an incredible three day experience for our members, because what happens, guys, is that businesses grow at different speeds and they grow at different speeds than expected. So if you’re just working off of an annual New Year’s resolution goal of, by the end of this year, I want to be at half a million.

Maybe you’re on pace to be at two million after just three months into the year. You might be at a much faster growth rate, in which case you should change and update your goals or you might be growing slower, in which case you need to look at, what’s not working? According to the plan I had set at the start of the year.

So what we do at three day virtual mastermind is we help our members recalibrate their 90 day goals and we give them a clear step by step game plan for that so that they don’t have to focus on stuff that’s not going to help them. Right. Just because you’re working sixty hours a week or just because you’re working really hard doesn’t mean you’re working on the right things that are actually going to grow your business. Right. And so that’s what we do on weekend retreats, we help them get super clear on what to work on.

We all do mastermind. We have lunches together virtually, and we break out in the pod rooms and there’s partnerships.

People are sharing stories. We have guest speakers.

There’s incredible thing and everybody walks away going having implemented their strategy and their plan on the spot. And they walk away and they go, wow, I know exactly what to focus on for the next 90 days. And then over the next 90 days, they’re going to have one V one calls with various coaches and they’ll have, of course, the weekly group coaching calls. So that’s how we structure our group coaching program in our mastermind’s.

It is a hybrid model and and then the group coaching calls.

They change, right? Sometimes. Again, it’s a Q&A.

Sometimes it’s hot seat coaching where everybody contributes ideas. Sometimes we break up into little pods where everybody networks and we give certain assignments. Sometimes I teach a brand new cutting edge strategy and it’s a workshop and I make it implement on the spot. And and so that’s what I explain to our clients. She’s like, I don’t know how to run a group coaching call. I’ve never done one before. And that was originally her question. Right. And she was concerned it wouldn’t work in her niche.

And then after being on board with us for three weeks, a couple of things happened. One, we doubled her rate and and then had her begin pre sell in her group coaching program. So we helped her design her group coaching program. And then we helped establish the price point of it, which was twice as much as her one v one services. So she was undercharging. So she was charging about two grand for her one v one coaching for three months.

And we said, hey, your first iteration of your group coaching program is going to be five grand and boom, she started selling people into it left and right.

And here’s the thing.

She’s not capped. All right? So she’s not capped on her time. So she’s already sold, I think, five clients in the first three weeks for twenty five grand in profit into her group coaching program that doesn’t launch for another thirty days. So these people know. You know, they know it’s not kicking off a month later. Or a month and a half later, they know, but they wanted to get a spot. She’s like, I’m only going to have a certain number of people in this group coaching program for this first round.

It’s 5K and everybody is signing up left and right. And so real quickly, and then her fears of I don’t know how to facilitate a group coaching program. I don’t know if this will work for me purchased by her seeing her results in our mastermind in our group coaching program and seeing how we facilitate and run these calls.

She’s like, I’m blown away by the level of support. She thought she was like, I thought for sure I was going to join and never hear from any of the coaches who thought for sure I was going to join. And I would just be another no or, the coaches wouldn’t know my name. And she’s like, I’m getting all the support I need. I’ve closed five clients for twenty five grand in three weeks and I know exactly what to do.

I know a group coaching program is laid out. I know how to deliver and facilitate group calls. I see how much value there is a group calls because I’ve learned so much from the other members and these partnerships and everything else are incredibly valuable. And now she’s able to realize and understand how incredibly powerful her group coaching program will be to her clients as well. You know, as long as she facilitates the calls in that manner where everybody feels seen and heard and there’s different structures every single week to maximize the amount of potential in the amount of value and instruction and direction that the clients get.

And so, yeah, so I just thought, that’s the coolest thing.

She’s she’s absolutely crushing it. I can’t wait to see where she’s at. We have six months of working with her, so these are her results after three weeks. Can’t wait to see where she is at. At six months it’s going to be multiple, six figures, I’m sure of it. And so it’s just really, really incredible, exciting stuff.

And this will forever change her coaching business. Right? Because if she didn’t step out of her comfort zone. Right, what she did, she was she was concerned that one v one coaching was the only way to help her clients. She does healing work. So she’s like, I have to do one v one because of the healing, I’m helping people heal their dramatic experiences from their childhood. And now she realizes she can facilitate that in this group setting.

It’s incredible her ROl, because not only did she get an instant ROl in three weeks from joining our program, I mean, like multiples.

But on top of that, for the rest of her career, she’s only about 30 years old. For the rest of her career, that’s probably another 30 years. Ten decades, she now knows, has a scalable business model that is a scalable but is also impactful to her clients that will get her clients results. And had she waited an extra two years or five years and convinced herself, I can only do one V one.

She’d be that stuck. She’d be that burnt out. And she probably would lose her passion and love for helping others. And that’s what happens if you’re if you’re not enjoying helping your clients at any point in time, it’s because you’re burnt out. You don’t realize it. All right.

You got to fill your glass up first so that it’s overflowing so that you’re excited to help your clients. And that gets them the best results. But you have to take care of yourself first. And one of the managers, you can’t overwork yourself or otherwise you will start resenting your clients. And I’ve heard that from from others in the industry. They say, I used to love coaching and I don’t anymore. How much are you working there? Like, all the time.

I’m like, well, that’s why. So you’ve got to take care of yourself and you’ve got to have the right business model and group coaching hybrid model. I absolutely love. What I also have told clients to write is that they don’t have to use our model like you can make your mastermind your group coaching program. You can design it in any way, shape or form.

And one of the things that we do inside of our program, right, is, you know, on a week to week basis, it’s our group coaching programs like do we know which we are going to be workshops which weeks we’re going to do pods or which weeks we’re going to do hot seats and stuff like that? Nope. What we do is we we deliver our workshops this week.

The coaches get together. We all give each other feedback.

Hey, what was the client’s feedback? Are there any, questions that seem to be reoccurring or that are popping up right now?

And then we go, OK, this is going to be the structure for the following week. So we keep it very fluid so that I think this contributes a lot to our members success, because if if all of a sudden we’re getting feedback from all of our different coaches, because when you come into our program, again, there’s multiple group coaching calls per week. You attend whichever ones you want based on where you need support. They’ll have a different theme.

And our coaches get together and we go, OK, here, you know, it seems like the clients really need support in this area, right now because of the seasonality or because of what’s going on. And so we literally keep our program fluid. The next week we plan what style of coaching call we’re going to deliver. So we say, OK, you know, the coaches might get together and I might be like, hey, this new platform clubhouse just came out.

We need to do a training on this right away. And so then we’re going to get together and huddle on that. And that that might be a theme for next week. And then we’re going to have all of our clients. We might do it. We’re. Workshop where we teach them it, and then we might put them into pods and say, hey, you know, trade information with people and line up to interview each other inside of a clubhouse group.

But we literally give people an unfair advantage by, you know, by planning as we go.

It’s not set in stone. So we keep it fluid to get our members the best results because the industry is always upgrading and changing. And so there’s that’s how we do it. Right. And we explain that to this one client who is worried about the group coaching program. And she’s just head over heels in love with it now and sees the value of it. And so you get to design your own group coaching program the way it’s going to fit for you with the number of calls and the time of the calls and the structure in which you deliver it.

I like keeping a group coaching called Fluid, where they can change on a weekly basis based on member feedback and what the coaches are seeing as well. And it’s working incredibly well and it’s giving us a scalable business model, but also an impactful business model because we haven’t seen testimonials and it’s awesome.

So I hope that’s helpful for you guys. If you guys are stuck doing one v one coaching or if you’re stuck selling courses, a course where you’re not actually there present to coach and you’re wondering why your business are not growing and you want to upgrade your business and so forth. And so a high ticket mastermind, they go check out some more of your free content are definitely be sure to subscribe to this podcasts.

You continue to learn how we do that. And if you want, of course, you can always reach out. And we have a no pressure sales call where you can learn more about our program if you so choose.

So there is my self plug. But anyways, guys, I hope this episode was super helpful for you. And I hope you look into designing your own mastermind because it is so impactful for your clients when designed and implemented correctly and allows you to have a really incredible scalable business model that you absolutely love. And so that’s it for this episode.

Guys, as always, love what you do, love the journey. And we will see you guys in the next episode.

In today’s episode, guys, we’re going to talk about how a lack of money is not a in an excuse to not be successful.

Let’s dive into this one now.

This is a story all about how am I. Hey, you guys, Dino Gomez here and you are listening to the Secrets of Coaching podcast, where we break down the nuances of growing a seven figure online coaching business. And we are about to get started in 3 2 1. All right, guys, having a lack of money is not an excuse to not be successful or at least to not have to give it a go. All right. To take a shot at your dreams.

And and here’s what I mean by that, is that recently I heard somebody chatting about why they weren’t having the level of success that they wanted and desired, and they attributed their lack of success to the fact that they didn’t have money to work with.

So in other words, you know, they were saying things like, you know, what if I also had a big team of ten people and had a really fancy office and it had a cool, recording studio and had a really expensive camera, I can make really killer Facebook ads. I can make really high production quality YouTube videos. I can make awesome sounding podcasts. If I had all the team members and all the money for all of those material things and all this stuff, then, I would also be successful that that was their frame and point of view.

And here’s why that is faulty, in my opinion, is because you can take somebody who is just starting out, doesn’t have any any type of marketing, online sales experience, doesn’t know how to run a team, build a team, inspire and manage a team that doesn’t have any leadership qualities that that doesn’t have, you know, copywriting skills, that doesn’t know all the things that somebody just brand new and you can give them ten million dollars. Give somebody a brand new coach ten million dollars and you say to them, here you go. You have all the money and resources. You have to spend this money on your coaching business. You’re at the same level now as an eight figure online coach. Let’s see how you do. And then put them up against an eight figure online coach who started from no money or started with fifty thousand dollars in credit card debt, hiring mentors to help them get things rocking and rolling.

You put them up against that eight figure entrepreneur and both both have the same resources. Now, what’s what’s going to happen in one year?

Where each of them going to be. Right. I think you know where this is going. If you’re the entrepreneur with no experience, the starting entrepreneur we give you ten million dollars, it’s 100 percent yours. But you have to spend it on growing your coaching business and you pin them against somebody that’s been had to grind their way to eight figures from zero. And has had to develop sales skills, copywriting skills, skills of talking well and speaking well and presenting well on camera skills of leading a team, hiring, managing, inspiring a team, knowing how to compensate a team, knowing finances, knowing how to track numbers, knowing how to deal with client issues, knowing how to motivate clients, knowing how to design programs like knowing how to build funnels, knowing how what, what to say and what can’t say inside of Facebook ads and online advertising.

Knowing how to manage a Facebook group like you, pin that new entrepreneur with all the money against the one who had to grind their way up to eight figures. And what’s going to happen? I mean, the new entrepreneur, even though they have all the money like they said they needed, they’re going to get smashed. I mean, smashed. All right. And so I just thought that was such an interesting moment and thought that, you know, and I was trying to reflect back because it’s been ten years since I got started online.

I was trying to start reflect back and I was like at any moment in time when I was twenty three years old and just starting, did I think that if I had money that then it would be easy?

I was trying to remember I, I very well could have had that thought process. I don’t know. I don’t blame this individual for thinking like that. But at the same time I just want to make it very clear and evident and evident to everybody out there right like that. Money doesn’t save you. You got to have the skill sets. Right. And then money becomes an asset when you have the skill sets and you know what to do with it.

And that’s exactly why anybody who hits the lotto is normally has spent or lost it all within a matter of a year. And that’s like a statistic you can look up. But literally, people who hit the lotto, that’s over a million dollars. They normally have spent or lost all that money within a year. And they don’t have any assets or it’s not it’s not working for them. It’s because they don’t know how to manage money. That’s a completely different skill set.

So this goes pretty deep when you think about that. But the takeaway, right, is to ask yourself beyond maybe you’re not giving yourself the excuse of I have a lack of resources, I have a lack of money, I have a lack of team, and therefore I can’t be as good or I can’t compete with someone.

So if you’re giving yourself that and that excuse or any excuse really self reflect on if the excuse is valid. And to be honest, there really is there’s no excuses either do it. Either make it happen or you don’t. But trust me, it’s good to struggle and to have to grow and to make mistakes. To learn from those mistakes so that you don’t make those mistakes again, so that you can share those mistakes with your clients to protect them from making those mistakes so that you feel the pain of making a mistake and and you make sure it never happens again.

All of the learning lessons, guys the entire journey is an absolute blast.

So just enjoy the ride, enjoy the fact that you’re not you’re working your way towards the top. Right. And really enjoy the journey because technically you’ll never be at the top. You’re always going to be striving for more. And as soon as you hit a certain level, you know, as human beings, innately, as entrepreneurs who are individuals who like personal development and growth, you’re going to continue to want to grow. And so you will never be at the top.

And when you’re at the top or if you ever think you’re at the top, it’s by the day that you’ve lost your passion and love for the business, at which point you’re probably looking at retiring. And that’s kind of be it for you. But so enjoy the process, guys, and just look at yourself, reflect if you’re feeling triggered by anybody in the industry. And just if you’re saying to yourself, if only I had XYZ, if only I had their personality, if only I had their charisma, if only I had, you know, whatever it is.

It’s just an excuse. And even if we gave you all the money in the world, you still need to develop the skills, because even with all the money in the world, you would get crushed by them because you wouldn’t know what to do with it. And so I hope that’s helpful for you guys. I hope that gives you a moment to self reflect so that you can learn and grow and so that you don’t make excuses and so that you take massive action and just get it done.

All right. So that’s it for this episode, guys. As always, enjoy the journey, have an absolute blast with your online business and we will chat with you very soon.

Hey, Dino Gomez here. And if you enjoyed this episode, be sure to head on over to the SecretsofCoaching.com for more resources, downloads, videos and cheatsheets to help you grow your online coaching business. All right. And if you picked up a cool tip or strategy from this particular episode, we would love a five star review where every single month we choose one lucky winner to win access to one of our coaching programs. In today’s episode, guys, we’re going to talk about how to be more productive as an online coach because it makes a difference.

Let’s dive into it now.

Hey guys, Dino Gomez here and you are listening to the Secrets of Coaching podcast, where we break down the nuances of growing a seven figure online coaching business. And we are about to get started in 3 2 1. All right, guys, how to be more productive as an online coach or as an online entrepreneur? Let’s dive into this one because this kind of ties right into the previous episode of How to Deal with Overwhelm.

But one of the ways for you to also deal with overwhelm or anxiety or any of the entrepreneurial things and, you know, kind of experiences, lessons, emotions, all that stuff is just being more productive.

It’s like getting more done with the time that you have.

And so here are just a couple quick fire tips to help you guys be more productive. Number one is don’t check your email until you’ve at least gotten two and a half, three hours of work done in your day. All right. That is a huge one. Most people wake up, they check their phone, they see an email, then they start going down that rabbit hole, they sign up to webinar.

All of a sudden you’re you know, you started by checking your email, hoping to be productive.

Have a great day. And now you register for a webinar that you’re going to watch at 2 p.m. later that day. And then you’re responding to other inquiries in your email. And you have the most brainpower, the first four hours of your workday. Yet that’s where your brain is functioning at high capacity, the most creative. And again, some people get very creative at the evenings and so forth. But ninety eight percent, I made that number up.

But basically almost everybody is most productive and has the most energy earlier in the day, because you just woke up. So you have that energy, your brain has that capacity. And so the first several hours of your workday need to be need to be designated to get in the biggest and most difficult tasks done inside your business. All right. So the thing you would prefer to procrastinate is the number one thing you need to get done first because you have the most willpower earlier in the day.

All right. So if it’s like, gosh, I really don’t want to run our numbers for the month, I really don’t want to run our numbers for the week and see how many leads we generated and how many sales calls we booked and then how many we closed. I don’t want to do that math. Right. It has to be done. You have to know your numbers as an entrepreneur. You should be doing all those things you have to be tracking so that you understand you’ll see correlations.

Right. That will help you continue to grow your business. And normally they’re pretty obvious, like, oh, my gosh I spent, you know, an extra five hours prospecting this week and we ended up with three extra phone calls and we signed two extra clients. Maybe I should spend more time prospecting or hire somebody to prospect. Like you’ll start seeing correlations.

You should be tracking your numbers, looking at your numbers and stuff like that.

For me, it’s not my most favorite thing to do, but it’s important task. So if it’s the end of the week, if it’s the end of the month, then I’m like, yep, I’m not excited about doing this. It’s not a fun sitting there and pulling in all the different numbers. It is fun looking at them. I will say that it is fun looking at the numbers and being like, wow, like we had a great month there.

Wow. Look at this.

Cool. Isn’t this interesting?

We turned on these new Facebook ads this week and look at how much it impacted the number of sales calls we had and the number of closings we had. That part is fun.

Pulling in all the data isn’t persey, but it’s still something I like to manually do because it makes me, you know, really remember the numbers. I could outsource that. But that’s one of those things I like. I don’t like doing it, but I know it’s good for me because I’m spending more time looking at those numbers and really understanding them now anyway. It’s a little bit of random and tangent there about data tracking. But those tasks that you don’t want to do, you should do first in your day so you ensure they get done.

You have the most willpower at the start of your day and you’re the most productive, generally speaking.

So that’s that’s number one. That’s one of the ways you can be more productive as an online coach is you don’t check your email. And then number two is you immediately get to work on the most important items in your business in particular, and particularly the ones that you don’t want to do but need to get done. All right. And then the next one is also don’t you don’t check Facebook, right? You don’t check Facebook, don’t wake up, check Facebook.

It will send you down a wormhole. It can destroy and affect your emotions. So, leave that till noon. Trust me, whatever somebody posted will still be there at noon for you to see. All right. And so that leads me to item number three, which is because you’re more productive and have the most willpower, the first four hours of the day, schedule your meetings, phone calls, appointments, Facebook lives, general social media stuff, any of the stuff that doesn’t take a lot of brainpower.

Schedule that for the second half of your day. Like, I can sit back for the second half of my day and take sales calls all day long. I can right now it’s it’s three thirty in the afternoon. I can sit here and record and rip out ten podcasts in a row. This is very easy for me to do. It doesn’t require a ton of brainpower, whereas, you know, playing with numbers, figuring out a new software solution, actually integrating different things like those types of things, putting together an SOP for a new team member, which we just brought yet another team member.

So doing those types of tasks, I do it first thing in the day. It has to get done. It’s more difficult to do. It requires more willpower. All right. Second half the day could be all of our team calls and our team huddles meetings. If I’m going to do a Facebook live, if I’m going to do a YouTube video, I’m going to do a podcast episode. I’m going to do it the second half the day.

And because it’s easier to do, but also it’s something to look forward to. It’s the thing I most enjoy to do. Most enjoy doing. Right. So I crashed the first part of the day, doing all the things I have to get done and have my lunch break, maybe a workout. And then now I’m like, cool. Now I get to do the, you know, be creative for the second half of the day, kind of unwind a little bit and have a ton of fun.

And so it’s it’s a good way to make your workday a lot of fun. Something to look forward to while in it. Check  all the boxes. It allows you to get done the must do items when you schedule your day like this. And then it also allows you to have something to look forward to. And so it makes it very fun for the second half the day.

And yeah, so doing those things, just those little things will make you more productive. Number 1, Don’t check your email until at least you’ve been working for two or three hours. Number two, don’t check Facebook for several hours. Number three, the first four hours of your day have to be dedicated to the most important and most difficult tasks. The second four hours every day should be more social type things or more creative type things.

And then the fourth one I’ll leave you guys with is to schedule what you’re doing the next day. That is huge because otherwise if you want to get better sleep and if you want to be more productive, you need to know what you’re doing the next day. And naturally it’s proven. like your brain will solve problems. And so if you’re like, OK, I really need to figure this out by tomorrow or this is happening tomorrow, your brain will help you figure that out.

And that way you don’t spend the first and most critical hours of your day, which are the first few working hours.

That way you’re not spending it, trying to figure out what to do because you will fall into the trap of checking your email and checking Facebook and social media if you do not have a schedule of what you should be doing. So that is why it’s so important to then plan. Here’s what I’m doing tomorrow so that, you know, I’m waking up and I’m knocking out these four tasks. They have to get done. I am doing them because, you know, that you you know, and then you tell yourself, I’m not allowed to check email or social media until these four tasks are done.

Then you’re going to have a very productive day. Now, if you don’t have anything to do or you don’t know what to do, you’re most likely going to resort to email or social media. And now you are playing somebody else’s game. Now you’re on their time and now you’re going down their rabbit hole rather than vice versa, which is, you know, you should be working inside your business, not being distracted. All right. And so those are just for quickfire tips for you guys to be more productive as an online coach or an entrepreneur.

I hope that was super helpful. And I’ll catch you guys in the next episode. As always, guys love what you do. Have an absolute blast with your online business and we’ll chat with you soon

Hey, what’s going on, guys, in today’s episode, we’re going to talk about how to deal with overwhelm as an entrepreneur. This is a hot topic and I’m excited to dive into it.

Let’s go now.

This is a story all about how am I? Hey, guys. Dino Gomez here and you are listening to the Secrets of Coaching podcast, where we break down the nuances of growing a seven figure online coaching business and we are about to get started in 3 2 1. All right, guys, how do you deal with overwhelm as an entrepreneur, as a human, but especially as an entrepreneur because it really plagues our industry? You know, it’s kind of something that you hear tossed around in inner circles, like in mastermind’s you’ll hear more about this, and a mastermind that I’m a member of. You’ll hear others other clients talk, you know, ask the coach, hey, how do I deal with overwhelm? And sometimes we all chime in and talk about how we deal with and manage stress levels and all the things. Right. And, sometimes in our programs too, obviously super real here, that’s authentic.

We just got off a great coaching call and one of our clients is like I’m feeling really overwhelmed because, you know, I’m so excited to do all these different things. I don’t know which one to do first. And so we helped break it down for her.

You know what she should be focusing on first and instantly, the anxiety, the overwhelm went away.

And so it’s we’re going to share with you guys is how you can help manage those feelings, those emotions that might be that anxiety are that excitement like of, oh, my gosh, I have a million things to do.

All right. And so this is one of the things we help our clients through, because it’s something that everybody faces.

We’re all human. We’re going to have these types of emotions. It’s just what it is. And so really, the first thing to recognize. Right, the first thing I always explain to our clients and then I individually help them, you know, based on their niche and what they have going on in their business of the solutions are actually unique for everybody. But there is a common first step.

The first thing to realize is that if everybody, every single entrepreneur and as long as you are an entrepreneur, you will always have a to do list of a million things always.

And it’s never going to get smaller.

As matter of fact, the more you grow and the more you learn, the more you realize that what you don’t know exists, like more infinitely huge your to do list gets because all of a sudden, you know, you haven’t done any online marketing before.

And then all of a sudden you hop online, you learn about SEO, then you learn about Facebook, and then you have to learn about funnels and then you realize there’s a B testing and then you realize there’s copyrighting. The deeper you go, the more and more stuff you realize there is to potentially master. And so as as long as you’re as long as you decide always be an entrepreneur, you will always have a million things on your to do list.

There’s nothing you can do to chop it down, because as you chip away at certain things that need to get done, more things are going to open up. And that’s just the nature of the game.

And so step one to releasing these feelings of anxiety and overwhelm is to one, recognize that, hey, this to do list is always going to be there and it’s okay for it to be there. For example, there’s a million things that I should be doing in my business that I don’t always have time to do. I have a massive To-Do list. You guys have prior notice I haven’t dropped an episode and I think like two weeks we’ve had a lot of things going on inside of our business. We’re growing very quickly and so but I don’t let it overwhelm me and well, I try not to, but I really mitigate how much it overwhelms me. And I really have a blast inside my business because one, I’ve been I’ve been at this for 11 years. So I have experience with this. Right. I’ve been able to kind of weather the storm.

And I’ve come to realize that we’re always going to have a million things on our To-Do list. That’s not what’s important. What’s important is for us to recognize, OK, yes, there’s a million things for me to do, but what are the most critical things I need to get done and and then focus on getting those done first? So I call those profit levers inside your business the things you must focus on to move the needle that are going to help grow your business the most.

Those are really the only things you have to get done.

And when you recognize that your to do list of 100 items of a million items, it no longer is relevant. All right. Instead, it’s just like, oh, my gosh, these are the three things I have to get done today and are most critical to moving our business forward. As long as you do that every single day, your business is going to grow. Now, the tough part is recognizing of the a million things on your to do list, which three profit levers do you pull?

Which three tasks do you tackle in order to move your business forward? So that is actually the trickiest part. And this is what most entrepreneurs get wrong.

And why it’s so important to have a mentor or a coach is because if you have experiences before. I experienced this earlier on in my career. I was grinding and hustling and working weekends and all of the things. And my business would still  plateaued at ten thousand dollars a month. No matter what I did for like six months. I couldn’t grow at past 10k a month, but I was working all the hours and and because I was being productive during those hours, I was getting things done.

But I wasn’t focusing on getting the right things done right. And I was wondering why are some other people, you know. Growing so much faster than me, right? They have the same amount of time and they’re working less than me, but why are they growing faster? Well, they were focusing they had their attention and their focus on more important items every single day. We had the exact same business and the exact same industry and the exact same city even.

So, it’s not like it was a geo geography thing or there was basically no other excuse except in hindsight.

What I recognized is that they were they were focusing on the most important items to grow their business. I was doing busy work and writing it off as I’m being productive. All right. And so that is exactly why you can have two businesses side by side. It can even be a brick and mortar business.

There could be two local gyms or two hair salons. And why does one in the city,  or in the little town, take off why is one dentist become the go to dentist? Right, when it’s the same thing as every other dentist? Why why is one better than the other? It’s just because they are focusing on how to grow their business and focusing on the most important tasks.

All right. And so those we call profit levers. And so I just want to bring this up. Right, because if you’re feeling the overwhelming anxiety, right, one of the ways you can help minimize it is just to go, you know what? It’s OK.

Yes, I have a thousand things I should be doing. I should be blogging. I should be on Pinterest. I should be on Instagram. I should be on YouTube. Yes. Ideally, you’re everywhere but. Right. It may not be plausible for you to do that.

And so instead it’s like, OK, where is the most important platform first that I should be spending my time right.

Rather than trying to do all of it at once. And you’re freaking out and you’re trying to resize graphics for different platform, you know, and and resize videos to fit in. You know, the length of a YouTube video can be infinitely long, but I need to shorten it down to be an Instagram clip. And there’s all these things right.

And yes, technically, ideally, in a perfect world, we’re doing all of that stuff to market our business.

But it’s different, like realistically at the start or even, you know, even before you get a million dollars, it’s impossible for you unless you have a team to be on all those platforms simultaneously. And so. Right. It’s like, OK, well, what is the first platform I need to be on? Let me put my attention to my focus there. It’s a profit lever.

So as we were talking to our client today, she has this incredible question and she is crushing it. By the way, she’s been with us not even a month and has doubled her rates and landed like four or five new clients. But with that right, she has new questions, new problems. At every new level, there is a new devil. And as she’s leveling up and growing her business, it’s opening up new territory. She hasn’t traveled before and therefore, overwhelming anxiety is kicking in a little bit.

And right until we said, hey, it’s OK. Yes, you have a bunch of things that ideally would be done all at once in a perfect world. But, hey, you only need to focus on these three things, get these three things done this week. And if you do that, that’s the most important thing that’s going to grow your business the most. And with that, just in talking to her for five minutes, boom, she’s like, wow, I feel much better.

Like, that’s so easy. I was like, yeah, it doesn’t yeah. You don’t have to worry about all the other stuff. It doesn’t matter that Suzy down the street is on Pinterest and Instagram and stuff like that, like, nope. Here’s your platform based on your niche and also where you should be spending your time, not just in the marketing sense, but where you should be spending your time for this individual to help her grow her business the fastest.

Right. And I’m able to pinpoint that like boom. Just do that, trust me. And anxiety overwhelm melts away. So, you know, you should have a coach or mentor to help help you make those decisions so that because if you’ve plateaued, if you’re spinning your wheels, if you’re not growing, it’s you’re not seeing something that somebody else with this experience could probably see and it’ll drive you crazy.

So at some point I’ll drive you crazy enough or you’ll be you’ll be like, OK, let me hire a coach to figure this out. Or if you’d like to just move faster and don’t want to wait to get hung up, you’ll just hire a coach so you don’t make the mistakes and don’t waste six months or even years inside your business, you know, remaining plateaued and stuck. So, yeah, I hope that helps. Guys, that’s how you get rid of overwhelm one.

It’s just identify that you’re always going to have a lot of stuff that needs to get done, but that never changes. But what’s most important, right, is you just get done the most important tasks, right. And you just focus on those and that shrinks your to do list. And that should give comfort to you and allow you to enjoy the journey. Because, guys, let me tell you, it’s crazy to think that I’ve been online for, I think ten years now, officially, so a decade and how fast time goes by.

I sound like my parents, but it goes by fast. So enjoy the journey. I wake up and have so much fun of my business every single day. I made a costly mistake recently, and I just started laughing about it like I was just laughing because I’ve been there, done that before. I know it’s not the end of the world and I’m just having fun while we’re doing, you know, and really being in the moment. And so do that as well.

Enjoy the actual journey. Don’t wait for the destination because really the destination is elusive. It’s really about just personal development along the way of having fun. So that’s it for this episode.

Guys, I hope that was super helpful and as always, have an absolute blast inside your business, we will see you guys very soon.

If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to head on over to the secretsofcoaching.com for more resources, downloads, videos and cheat sheets to help you grow your online coaching business. All right. And if you picked up a cool tip or strategy from this particular episode, we would love a five star review where every single month we choose one lucky winner to win access to one of our coaching programs.

All right. So that is it for this episode, guys. We will see you in the next one.  Bye.

Hey, you guys, Dino Gomez here, founder of Coaching Launch, as well as Seven figure visionary, and what we are going to cover today is how to design an online course. Let’s get into it right now.

All right, guys, online courses are blowing up like nothing else. All right. And one of the main questions that we hear over and over and over again that I see out there in the marketplace online is that everybody wants to know how do I design an online course? All right. And so that’s what we’re going to be covering today, is exactly how to design an online course very quickly and just three steps. All right. And so what we’re going to do right now, guys, is we’re going to hop over to my computer and we’re going to walk you through those three steps.

We’re also going to give you guys a cheat sheet that is going to make it super simple for you. It is for you to design your online course. All right. So let’s get into it. All right, guys. So step one of designing your own online course. Guys, it’s very simple. What you want to do is you want to figure out what is the main goal or outcome of your program or online course. Right. What are people going to be able to do after they take and finish your online course?

So that’s step one is to figure out what the very end of your course is going to look like and what the end result or transformation is going to be for your clients and customers that go through your online course. All right. And what we’re going to show you guys in a second is this, which is our course outline matrix. And that’s coming up in a second. Right. But the second step, after you understand what the main goal of your course is, what the what you want to produce with your course, what your clients and customers will be able to do after taking your course.

Step two is that we actually need to go ahead and design the course. And so this is very simply what we’re going to map out exactly what it is that is going to happen step by step inside of our online course to get people the ultimate end result that we want them to have. All right. And then then step three guys is we want to figure out how to price our online course. We’ll talk a little bit more about pricing in a moment in ways that you can increase the price of your course and make it more valuable to your actual customers and clients.

So really, there’s only three steps here. Decide what the goal of your course is, design your online course and then price your online course. All right. So let’s go over to step two guys, because right now you guys probably have an idea of what type, of course, you want to create. If you don’t go check out a link in the description that will take you over to another video that will help you figure out your niche for your for your actual coaching service.

But right now, this video, we’re focusing right on how to design and outline an online course. And so what you really want to do is think of your course like an actual book, OK? And each book, whenever you read a book, read it has a chapter. All right. And those chapters all have specific themes to them about what’s happening. All right. So you’re going to have these different chapters. All right. To your online course.

These chapters are all called modules. All right. So think of it as a chapter of a book. It’s the civic module. And then inside the module, you might have three video lessons here. You might have five video lessons on this one here. All right. Or you might have just two video lessons on this one here. All right. But what’s what makes it very easy to design your online courses to figure out what the main chapters are going to be of your online course or otherwise modules.

All right. And so that is where the visionary matrix comes in. All right. And so this right here, guys, is our course is a PDF that is basically allows us to design our online course. Right. And every one of these steps is going to become a module. All right. This is going to make it crystal clear for you how to actually go ahead and design your online course. Right. So the first step, if I’m creating a course about how to grow a Facebook group, which we do have one of those courses that’s only twenty seven dollars shows you how to build an audience so that you have an audience to sell your online course to.

If you’re interested in checking that out in the description beneath this video as well. But in that course, the very first module we knew that needed to be about mindset. All right. Because the problem is, is that many people I put this here, many people don’t think they are an expert enough to launch an online course. So that’s one of the problems we know.

It’s called imposter syndrome. All right. And one of the things why don’t you guys want to be wary about there is trust me to come to launch an online course. Right. And be very successful, make thousands, if not millions from your online course. You do not need credentials. You do not need a college degree. You do not need a certification. All right. So don’t let the really big brands out there online convince you that you need to have some life coaching school certification that, you know, is you know, you have to pay 100 thousand dollars for something like that is not the case whatsoever.

Right. So this is the problem, as many people don’t think they’re an expert enough to launch a course. And so then here’s the description of the videos that would shoot video one. Video two is going to be about this video three in this module. And video for at least four videos are going to help people overcome different mindset issues. It’s going to help them understand that they are awesome enough with their life experiences to teach others. And it’s going to give other examples, such as.

Right. There’s no formal credentials to be a parents, OK? There’s no handbook to be a parent yet. Millions of people out there. Right. Have children and. Basically, the course instructor to their children on how to live life. So we have this here. Here’s the benefits. People are going to walk away feeling confident. So improved confidence. They’re going to have direction and they’re going to understand how to that they are good enough to, as an individual, to become a course instructor, to become a coach.

All right. Tools and resources. All right. There might be a handbook or otherwise it can exercise that we want people to go out, know, use. There might be a PDF. There might be a course outline matrix like the like the one you’re looking at here. If I was teaching people how to design their course. So I’m going to list out as the course creator, what are the things I need to create tools, resources that are going to help people complete and understand this section of the course.

Right. And step two, this is three modules. Two, this is going to be like building your Facebook group. All right, so how how to launch an optimized Facebook group, right, and the problem here is that, you know, in order to sell a course, you need to have an audience. All right. And so the problem here is that in this particular program on how to launch an online course and how to build a Facebook group full of thousands of potential prospects and customers, the problem is if you want to launch an online course, you need to have an audience.

So I know that’s the problem. So the description is we’re going to show you how to build and fill up your Facebook group with prospects. All right. Here are the benefits. You’re going to have an audience who, by the time you’re done with this module, you have an audience who knows, likes and trust you. You have audience who trusts you. All right. Tools and resources. We’re going to have to have the Facebook group building outline PDF.

So basically, what you are doing here with this with this matrix here, guys, is this matrix will walk you through step by step all of the different modules and video lessons that you need to have to design an online course. You just go through this step by step and this matrix can become as long or as short as you want. So maybe you only have three modules in your course. Maybe that’s all that’s needed to get people the end result that you were promising them.

Or maybe you have five modules, maybe you have six modules, maybe you have 10 modules. It really just depends what your niches and what end result you’re helping people to achieve by going through your actual program. All right. And so this right here, guys, it will only take you about 15 minutes or so, but you can fill this out and literally in 15 minutes, you can have your entire course mapped out. And then you just you just go to this and you know exactly which videos you need to record, which modules they’re going to go into, and then you know how to even name those modules like module one.

We would name this one the mindset of becoming an online coach. Module number two is how to build and optimize your Facebook group and how to build an audience in module number three. It might be OK. Here’s how to price your coaching services module for as like how to make offers to your audience to land them as clients. Module number five is like how to deliver your actual course to your clients. We actually this was is basically our outline for one of our programs we call Coaching launch.

It’s only twenty seven dollars. So if you guys are looking to actually not only design your online course, but if you’re looking to build an audience for free using a free Facebook group for which you can then sell your course to be sure to check that out in the description because it’s an amazing deal. It’s what most coaches charge thousands and thousands of dollars for. We only charge twenty seven dollars and we have have hundreds and hundreds of online courses successfully go through that program and launch their online course.

All right, guys, I hope this video training was helpful for you guys. If it was, be sure to hit the subscribe button and the notification bells so that you get notified every single time we come out with a new video training that is going to help you grow your online coaching business. My name is Dino Gomez. And until next time, guys, we will see you in the next video.
